Copenhagen vs Napoli prediction 20.01.2026 | Champions League

Copenhagen were solid in the Champions League this season. They collected seven points in six matches and are in a position that would qualify them for the 1/16 final phase. In the Danish Superliga, the situation is far from bright, as they are 12 points behind league leader Aarhus. ck Copenhagen played well before the winter break with three victories in the last four matches. However, they have lacked competitive rhythm since then. Their most recent official game was more than a month ago, when they defeated Esbjerg in the cup, and in the meantime, they have played only two friendlies, drawing against both Brann and Sturm Graz. 

Copenhagen weren't too active in the transfer market so far this January. Their only signing so far is the signing of right-back Kenay Myrie from Saprissa. The 19-year-old defender is one of the most exciting Costa Rican talents, but we shouldn't expect him to have a significant role for Copenhagen this season. 

Rodrigo Huescas, Magnus Mattsson, and Liam West are unavailable for the upcoming Champions League tie against Napoli. 

Napoli have another good season. In the Champions League, Antonio Conte's team has a solid chance of advancing to the next round, while in Serie A, Napoli are third in the standings, six points behind league leader Inter Milan. Conte's team struggled lately with one defeat and three draws in the last four matches. In the previous game, Napoli won 1-0 at home against Sassuolo. It was far from a convincing performance, as the visitors created far more chances and registered ten more shots on goal, but Napoli once again showed their ability to grind out results.

Napoli have big problems with injuries. In the game against Sassuolo, Eljif Elmas and Amir Rrahmani had to go out due to injuries. They will join already unavailable Romelu Lukaku, Kevin De Bruyne, David Neres, Franck Anguissa, Billy Gilmour, Luca Marianucci, Alex Meret, and Pasquale Mazzocchi. 

Antonio Conte's assistant, Cristian Stellini, described the injury situation as difficult. He urges the board to spend some money and add new players in January. Stellini said that they don't have too many players and need more immediately. After the game in Copenhagen, Napoli have matches against Juventus and Chelsea, so the next ten days could be challenging for Conte's team.
