Chelsea had a bad two-year stretch behind them in 2022/23 and 2023/24. Still, this season, their young squad showed progress and did pretty well. They finished fourth in the Premier League and secured the Conference League title. That ECL title secured them an appearance in the FIFA Club World Cup. In this tournament, the Blues did fine and reached the finals. Still, we have to mention they avoided big European teams and had maybe a slightly easier path than PSG. In the knockout phase, the Blues won duels vs Palmeiras and Fluminense.
PSG had a magnificent season, securing the domestic Cup and league titles and the long-awaited Champions League title! The Parisians continued with fantastic performances in the FIFA Club World Cup and deservedly secured the finals. In the previous two rounds, they dominated Bayern Munich and Real Madrid and are the favorites by the bookies to win this duel. But, considering how dominant they looked, that is hardly a surprise.
Chelsea vs PSG pick: PSG to win
Both teams had good results. Otherwise, they wouldn't have been in the finals. Still, we believe that PSG showed a lot more, especially in the Semi-Finals, where they absolutely dominated Real Madrid, beating them 4:0. In that match, they almost had 70% ball possession, and it seemed like they played against a lower-tier team! But the Parisians have already proved that they can perform exceptionally when they need it the most. That was the case in the Champions League Finals, where they dominated Inter and won 5:0, and it is fair to expect another great performance from them.
While both teams performed well this year and in this tournament, we believe that PSG are the best team in the World, and it isn't particularly close. Therefore, we expect the Parisians to secure the title and complete a historic quadruple.

PSG team news
After a 4:0 win against Real Madrid, coach Luis Enrique spoke to the media. He was very happy with a win and the fact they played a flowing, fluid football playstyle. "The first objective is to arrive in good condition for the final. But under no circumstances should we slow down because there is no such thing as slowing down in high-level competition," the coach added.
Lucas Hernandez and Willian Pacho are suspended and will not play in the finals, while Nordi Mukiele is out due to an injury.
