Chelsea vs Fulham prediction 30.08.2025 | Premier League

After two underwhelming seasons, Chelsea returned to their usual level last year. This season, they are among the biggest candidates for the Premier League title. Their start, however, wasn't satisfying as they played only 0-0 at home against Crystal Palace, but in the next game, they won 5-1 on the road against West Ham. The home side finished the match with an xG of 0.73, while the guests had a commanding 2.74, so nothing but Chelsea's victory would be unfair. 

Chelsea have a great squad, but they will likely pull out one or two more transfers until the end of the current transfer window. According to the reports, the Blues are interested in Xavi Simons, Fermin Lopez, Alejandro Garnacho, and Kobbie Mainoo. 

Chelsea have some problems with missing players. They will be without Benoit Badiashile, Romeo Lavia, Omari Kellyman, and Levi Colwill on Saturday afternoon. Also, Cole Palmer is nursing a groin injury, but he has some chances to recover on time. 

Since Fulham returned to the Premier League in 2022, Fulham have been a mid-table team. Marco Silva's team should have a similar goal in the new season, too. Fulham had a tough schedule in the first two league rounds but remained unbeaten in the games against Brighton and Manchester United. Silva's team had the game in the mid-week, too, in which they won 2-0 at home in the EFL Cup against Bristol City. Although Fulham rested starters in that match, they didn't have problems progressing to the next phase.

Fulham will likely make a few transfers in the coming days, too. Samuel Chukwueze, Soungoutou Magassa, and Albert Sambi Lokonga are the teams that came out as possible transfer targets in the last few days. 

Fulham doesn't have any problems with injuries. The head coach, Marco Silva, should field the same lineup that avoided defeat against Manchester United last week.
