Chelsea return to Stamford Bridge after a thrilling 2–2 draw at Newcastle last weekend. Outplayed in the first half as Nick Woltemade’s brace put the Magpies two goals ahead, the Blues showed resilience after the break to fight back and secure a point at St James’ Park.

After a sticky spell of form, Chelsea have enjoyed a decent fortnight, picking up wins against Everton (2:0) and Cardiff (3:1) before their entertaining share of the points against Newcastle.

Still, having failed to win four of their last five PL games, the Blues now sit fourth in the division, ten points behind league leaders Arsenal. 

Enzo Maresca's side continue to struggle defensively, with clean sheets proving few and far between. Chelsea conceded at least one goal in five of their last eight games. BTTS occurred in five of their seven most recent fixtures. 

Head coach Maresca has no new injury issues this week. Romeo Lavia and Levi Colwell remain sidelined for the home side.

Aston Villa arrives in London after a club record-breaking win against Manchester United last weekend. Morgan Rogers sensational double-strike secured a 2:1 victory - marking the Villains tenth successive victory across all competitions. 

Having made a miserable start to their Premier League season, which saw them fail to score in each of their first four fixtures, the Villains have enjoyed an extraordinary run of form. Emery's side won each of their last seven PL games, and now sit third in the division, just three points behind pacesetters Arsenal.

Despite their sensational form, Villa have continued to concede goals, making them an ideal choice for goal chasers this season. The visitors have seen BTTS in all but one of their last eight matches. 

Spanish boss Emery is unlikely to make changes from the side that claimed a vital win against Manchester United. Pau Torres, Tyrone Mings, Evann Guessand and Ross Barkley all miss out while Harvey Elliott faces a late fitness test.
