DR Congo never played at the World Cup. They were close to qualifying through the group phase, but Senegal ended two points ahead of them. DR Congo played solidly recently, winning three of the last four matches. In the most recent outing, Sebastien Desabre's team won 1-0 at home against Sudan. The home side had 60% ball possession, but they showed too little in attack, which is something that worries ahead of the upcoming tie in Morocco.

DR Congo's head coach, Sebastien Desabre, seems focused and determined ahead of the crucial fixture against Cameroon. A few days ago, he said, "In all the matches we will play soon, especially the match against Cameroon, we will be difficult to play against, we will be valiant. In any case, we will proudly defend our colors."

DR Congo will be without their best player, Yoane Wissa, who is still recovering from injury. Without him, Cedric Bakambu should be a focal point of the attacking line.
