Cagliari vs Inter prediction 27.09.2025 | Serie A

Cagliari return to Serie A action with plenty of confidence after a 4:1 midweek Coppa Italia victory against Frosinone. Late goals from Mattia Felici and Nicolò Cavuoti helped secure a place in the next round for Fabio Pisacane´s side. 

An impressive run of form has seen the Sardinians win each of their last three games, while their only defeat in six games played this season came at Serie A champions Napoli (1:0).

However, a dismal record in this fixture will be a cause for concern for the home faithful. Cagliari lost all but one of their last nine home matches against Inter.

Head coach Pisacane is unlikely to make too many changes from the side that began last weekend's Serie A win against Lecce. Injured trio Leonardo Pavoletti, Nicola Pintus and Zito Luvumbo remain sidelined.

Inter returns to Serie A action after a hard-fought 2:1 win against Sassuolo at the San Siro last weekend. Federico Dimarco´s first goal of the season helped secure back-to-back victories for Christian Chivu´s side. 

I Nerazzurri enjoyed an excellent week with a 2:0 win in Amsterdam against Ajax four days earlier in their first Champions League fixture of the campaign. 

Chivu´s men have not been at their best defensively this season, and seem likely to concede against an in-form home side. Three of the last five meetings between these sides saw BTTS, while Inter conceded seven goals in their last four games. 

Still, a dominant record in this fixture will give the visitors plenty of confidence. Inter won nine of their last 11 games against the home side. 

Head coach Chivu has a fully fit squad available this weekend. Argentine forward Lautaro Martinez could earn a recall after a 30-minute substitute appearance against Sassuolo last weekend.
