In the last few seasons, Brighton have become a stable mid-table team. The current campaign is not much different, as the Seagulls seem too good to get involved in the relegation dogfight, but also too weak for a serious shot at the Champions League positions. Brighton are struggling with consistency lately. They won only two of their last 11 matches in all competitions. In the previous game, Brighton lost 2-1 on the road against Fulham. The guests probably deserved more in that match, but the hosts' much better efficiency was enough to leave Brighton empty-handed. 

Brighton are active in the current transfer window. Since their last match, the team left Jeremy Sarmiento and Diego Coppola. According to the reports, the Seagulls are very interested in Toulouse's defender Charlie Cresswell. The transfer window ends on Monday, and everything will be resolved in the coming days. 

Brighton will be without injured Mats Wieffer, Solomon March, Adam Webster, and Stefanos Tzimas on Saturday against Everton. Also, Brajan Gruda is questionable for the upcoming tie. 

After a few stressful seasons, Everton improved, becoming a stable mid-table team that could even aim for places in European competitions. Same as Brighton, Everton struggled recently with only two victories in the last nine matches. In the most recent outing, David Moyes' team played 1-1 at home against Leeds. The home side had xG of 0.69, while the guests had 1.37, but Everton still found a way to one point. 

Everton are looking to improve its team in the coming days. Everton is trying to add a right-back, and it seems that Genoa's Brooke Norton-Cuffy is a realistic option in the coming days. Also, Everton is interested in midfielders Tomas Soucek (West Ham) and Luis Enrique (Inter Milan). 

Jack Grealish is injured and will not travel to Brighton. Also, Timothy Iroegbunam is questionable and might miss the upcoming clash as well.
