Brighton come into Wednesday's EPL contest with confidence raised after back-to-back league wins in the past ten days. The Seagulls claimed a fine 2:0 win at Brentford before a well-deserved 2:1 success against Nottingham Forest last weekend. 

Fabian Hurzeler's side had endured a poor run of form before their recent uptick in performance levels. Brighton had lost four of five previous fixtures, while they won only two of 15 games since the end of November. 

An inability to turn draws into victories, particularly in home fixtures has been an issue for the tough-to-beat home side. Brighton lost just two of 14 EPL games at the AMEX this season, with six of those matches finishing deadlocked. 

Head coach Hurzeler has three selection issues to deal with on Wednesday. Adam Webster and Stefanos Tzimas are ruled out, while Yasin Ayari remains unlikely to feature.

Arsenal make the trip to the AMEX with renewed vigour after an excellent 2:1 win against local rivals Chelsea on Sunday. Again prolific from set-pieces, goals from defenders William Saliba and Jurren Timber secured a vital home win for Mikel Arteta's title-chasers.

With just nine games to play in a fascinating EPL title-race, the Gunners remain top of the division, five points clear of Manchester City, albeit having played one game more than the Citizens. 

Since a 3:2 defeat against Manchester United in January, Arsenal have responded well, claiming seven wins and two draws from nine matches across all competitions. 

A strong recent record in this fixture should boost Arteta’s side ahead of Wednesday’s clash. Arsenal have won four of their last six meetings with the Seagulls.

Head coach Arteta has some injury issues for the trip to Brighton. Declan Rice could miss out after being withdrawn late in the Chelsea fixture last weekend. Mikel Merino is ruled out, while Martin Ødegaard, Ben White and Max Dowman are all unlikely to feature.
