Brest vs Monaco prediction 05.12.2025 | Ligue 1

Brest return to Stade Francis-Le Ble with confidence raised after back-to-back Ligue 1 wins recorded in the past week. Eric Roy´s side scored a 3:2 win against Metz before a fine road victory at Strasbourg (2:1) last weekend lifted them clear of the relegation zone.

Before their recent revival, Brest had failed to win six successive matches in Ligue 1, with just three points collected during their winless spell (D3, L3). 

Now 11th in the division, Les Pirates have struggled defensively this season. Roy´s men conceded two goals or more in four of their last seven games, while they have kept only one clean sheet in their seven most recent fixtures.

Head coach Roy has three injury issues this week. Bradley Locko and Radosław Majecki are confirmed absentees while Brendan Chardonnet faces a late fitness test.

Monaco make the trip to the Stade Francis-Le Ble with confidence raised following a superb 1:0 win against Ligue 1 champions PSG last weekend. Takumi Minamino´s second-half goal secured a first win against the Parisians since 2023. 

Sébastien Pocognoli´s side had suffered three successive Ligue 1 reversals before their shock win at Stade Louis II on Sunday. Les Rouge et Blanc now sit seventh in the division, eight points behind surprise leaders Lens. 

Monaco have an excellent recent record in this fixture, picking up six wins in their last seven encounters, and they should have enough quality to at least claim a point in a likely high-scoring contest. Both of the last two meetings between these sides saw at least three goals scored, while three of Monaco´s last four games finished with the same outcome. 

Head coach Pocognoli is unable to call on Christian Mawissa and Eric Dier, who remain sidelined. Denis Zakaria and Thilo Kehrer are both suspended, leaving the hosts with a defensive headache this weekend.
