It has been a fairly grim stretch for Gladbach supporters. A 2-0 loss away to Dortmund before Christmas summed it up. No goals scored, which had not happened in four matches, and a second defeat in a row.

Eugen Polanski’s side have now won only once in their last five games across all competitions. Moreover, Borussia-Park has not been much of a refuge lately. The last two home games ended in defeat, so patience in the stands may wear thin if things start slowly again.

Haris Tabaković remains the main threat. Seven league goals tell their own story, and he is expected to lead the line once more. There are problems elsewhere.
