An intriguing round of sixteen contest is likely to produce an entertaining encounter as Dortmund returns to FIFA Club World Cup action against Monterrey.

Niko Kovac's side secured top spot in Group F, securing seven points from a possible nine after victories against Mamelodi Sundowns (4:3) and Ulsan HD (1:0) after a goalless draw against Fluminense on matchday one. 

A strong run of form has seen BVB claim victories in all but one of their last ten matches, including a 1:0 win against Ulsan HD last week. 

However, Dortmund's defensive fragilities were in evidence against the Sundowns, and with Monterrey in fine form, we should be set for a thrilling last sixteen contest.

La Pandilla come into Wednesday's matchup after a comprehensive 4:0 win against Urawa Red Diamonds secured their safe passage into the knockout phase. Domènec Torrent´s side remain unbeaten after securing impressive Group E draws against Inter and River Plate.

While Dortmund come into this fixture as odds-on favourites, Monterrey have shown plenty of quality at these finals, and I fancy the Mexicans to trouble their European opponents in Atlanta.
