Bologna vs Udinese prediction 23.02.2026 | Serie A

After winning the Coppa Italia last season, Bologna did well this year and spent most of the first part of the season in the top five or six in Serie A. However, after a great start to the season, they had a bad period since the Super Cup in Riyadh. Now, after back-to-back wins against Torino and Brann, they looked like they shifted the negative momentum. Not only did they win two (road) games in a row, but they looked really good and will try to extend that winning streak and finally won the first home game since early December! 

Right now, Bologna are in 9th place, but with only 33 points in 25 rounds - they are already nine points away from European spots. So, it is crucial for them to finally start winning home games and go on a winning streak. Looking at their upcoming Serie A schedule, there is definitely room for a strong push over the next month and a half. 

After a 1:0 win over Brann, coach Vincenzo Italiano spoke to the media. He said they secured the win, but only by a one-goal advantage, and will have to perform better at Stadio Dall'Ara. The coach also said that two wins in a row gave them a bit of enthusiasm, but joked that they have to break the curse at Dall'Ara in the upcoming match. 

Udinese have been a mid-table team for over a decade now. This season, despite a strong start from the Bianconeri, they quickly returned to their usual placement. After 25 rounds, they are sitting in 11th place with 32 points, only one point behind their next opponent, Bologna. However, unlike Bologna, which are improving, Udinese lost to Sassuolo and Lecce and were fairly outplayed in those matches. One of the reasons for those losses is the injury to Keinan Davis, who has been great for them. Unfortunately, he will most likely miss the Bologna game as well.

After a 2:1 loss against Sassuolo, coach Kosta Runjaić spoke to the media. He said it was a game they should have never lost. "There are no excuses for giving up two goals in less than a minute - it's inconceivable," the coach added. Runjic added that they are a mid-table team and not a "big" one, so the ups and downs are pretty normal. However, he said they still have to find more consistency.
