Last season, Barcelona have won their 28th title in the most important Spanish competition. Now, the team from Camp Nou wants to continue its dominance in Spanish football, but also to win its first Champions League trophy since 2015. Barcelona started the 2025/26 season almost perfectly, with four wins and one draw in five matches in all competitions. In the previous game, on Thursday, Hansi Flick's team won 2-1 on the road in the Champions League opening round against Newcastle. Although Barcelona had 64% ball possession and nine shots on goal more than the opponent, xG stats suggest that the teams had pretty similar chances. In the end, Barca's efficiency decided the winner. 

Barcelona's Ferran Torres came off the bench on Thursday at St. James' Park, but about 25 minutes later, he had to go out due to injury. If Torres can't play on Sunday night and if Flick decides to rest Lewandowski, Roony Bardghji could start. Barcelona will also be without Lamine Yamal, Alejandro Balde, Gavi, and Marc-Andre ter Stegen. 

Although Getafe usually have one of the smallest budgets in La Liga, they regularly find a way to avoid relegation. This season, Getafe again are one of the potential candidates to move to the lower level, but they collected nine excellent points in the first four matches. Last weekend, Getafe won 2-0 at home against Real Oviedo. The home side ended with xG of 0.75, while the guests had 0.46, but Getafe pulled up another great win. 

Getafe's Abdel Abqar and Kiko Femenia suffered muscle injuries against Real Oviedo and had to be substituted. However, both players returned to training this week and are in contention for the game on Sunday night at Camp Nou. With them being available, Juanmi, who has not been playing since the season started, should be the only absence.
