Barcelona return to home comforts just three days on from a dominant 4:1 win against Villarreal at the Camp Nou. An inspired Lamine Yamal bagged a hat-trick as La Blaugrana eased to victory in Cataluna. 

Hansi Flick's side have been in largely strong form since the turn of the year, with eight wins picked up from their last ten fixtures. Of course, a 4:0 defeat in last month's first-leg leaves the Catalans with a mountainous task this week. 

A strong record in this fixture will give Barcelona confidence this week. Flick's side won eight of their last 11 matches against Atletico. 

High-scoring outcomes have been frequent in recent meetings between these sides. At least three goals were scored in six of their last seven meetings. The hosts have seen a similar outcome in all but one of their last 14 fixtures. 

Head coach Flick has four expected absentees. Andreas Christensen and Frenkie de Jong are ruled out, Gerard Martín is suspended, while Pablo Gavi is also expected to remain sidelined.

Atletico Madrid arrive at the Camp Nou after a hard-fought 1:0 at Real Oviedo on Saturday. Julan Alvarez's goal, four minutes into stoppage-time, secured a narrow road victory for Diego Simeone's side.

Los Colcherones are now unbeaten in their last four matches, including several high-scoring encounters. Atletico saw at least five goals scored in their last three matches against Club Brugge (twice) and Espanyol.

A poor road record remains a concern, though. Simeone's men won only four of their 13 away league fixtures this season, while they slipped to a 3:1 defeat on their last visit to the Camp Nou in December. 

Head coach Simeone has just two injury issues ahead of the trip to Cataluna. Nicolás González and Pablo Barrios are tipped to remain sidelined.
