Barcelona managed to win the double last season, and their goal for this season is again to win it all. While they are doing a solid job in La Liga, sitting in second place, one point behind the top spot, their performances in the Champions League haven't been impressive. After five rounds, the Catalan team is in 18th place with seven points - just one point away from dropping out of the spots that lead to the 1/16 Finals. 

After a 3:0 loss vs Chelsea in the previous game, coach Hansi Flick spoke to the media. He said it was a poor performance, saying they lost too many easy balls and gave away too many simple passes under pressure. However, the coach was optimistic and stressed that the fans would see a different Barcelona in the upcoming games. 

Alaves barely escaped relegation last season, winning seven points in the final three games and finishing two points above the relegation zone. This season, they started off well, and it seemed that their goal of securing survival would not be too challenging. However, after losing two in a row, they instantly changed that situation. Now, after 13 rounds, the Basque team is in 14th place with 15 points - four points away from the danger zone. 

After a 1:0 vs Celta Vigo, coach Eduardo Coudet spoke to the media. He was unhappy with the loss, saying they were less fluid in attack than usual. The coach said there were some good things, but the team lacked effectiveness up front. When asked about the current placement on the league's table, the coach said: "Everything is going to tighten from now on — in LaLiga there are five or six teams above, and the rest of us are all very evenly matched."
