Two of the bottom three sides in the Portuguese top flight meet on Monday night as AVS Futebol play host to Boavista.
AVS prepare for Monday's game after suffering a humiliating 6:0 loss at the hands of title chasers Benfica last weekend. That defeat extended Piranhas do Tejo's run without a win in the Primeira Liga to seven matches and was the fourth time in five games that they shipped three or more goals.
Boavista also suffered a heavy defeat last weekend. The Chequered ones conceded five unanswered goals against reigning champions Sporting CP and failed to register a single shot on target. AVS didn’t suffer any injuries in the defeat to Benfica last time out, but head coach Rui Vítor da Silva Ferreira is expected to make wholesale changes to his XI.
Having been withdrawn at the start of the second half in that encounter, the likes of Fernando Fonseca, Baptiste Roux and Christian Neiva Afonso are among those likely to be demoted to the bench.
