Aston Villa vs BSC Young Boys prediction 27.11.2025 | UEFA Europa League

Aston Villa maintained their much-improved Premier League form with an excellent 2:1 comeback win at Leeds last weekend. Morgan Rogers superb double-strike secured the points for the Villains. 

Having made a slow start to the season, which had seen Unai Emery's men fail to score in their first four PL fixtures, Villa have begun to find their best form. The Villains won nine and just two of their 11 most recent fixtures. 

In this competition, Emery's side have been similarly solid, picking up three wins from four games played. The Premier League side now sit sixth in the 36-team league. 

While the hosts' goal stats have been a little inconsistent,  a minimum of three goals were scored in five of their last eight games and another entertaining encounter seems likely this week.

Head coach Emery has no fresh injury issues to deal with. Tyrone Mings and Andres Garcia remain long-term absentees for the Villains.

BSC Young Boys arrives in Birmingham with confidence raised following dominant back-to-back Swiss Super Liga victories. Gerardo Seoane's men eased to a 4:1 at St Gallen earlier this month before a conclusive 5:0 win against Winterthur last weekend. Young Boys had failed to win three successive fixtures before their recent high-scoring victories. 

The Swiss side have been in mixed form in the Europa League, winning two and losing two of four games played. Three of those four matches also finished with at least three goals scored.

Another high-scoring outcome seems likely in Thursday's Europa League encounter. BSC Young Boys have seen over 2.5 goals in 10 of their last 12 matches including each of their five previous away fixtures. 

Head coach Seoane has two confirmed absentees ahead of the trip to Birmingham. Injured duo Facinet Conte and Edimilson Fernandes remain unavailable for selection.
