AS Roma vs Genoa prediction 29.12.2025 | Serie A

The 2025/26 season could be the best for AS Roma in the last few years. Gina Piero Gasperini's team is currently three points behind the league leader, Inter Milan, but with one game more played. Most of the campaign were impressive, but AS Roma lost three of the last five matches across all competitions and urgently needs to start winning again. In the most recent outing, AS Roma lost 2-1 on the road against Juventus. The guests had some good moments throughout the game, but eventually the hosts were good enough to leave AS Roma empty-handed.  

AS Roma have problems with missing players. Obite Ndicka and Neil El Aynaoui are at the Africa Cup of Nations and will not play a few more weeks. Also, Edoardo Bove, Artem Dovbyk, and Lorenzo Pellegrini are unavailable for the upcoming tie against Genoa. 

After two solid seasons, Genoa could have many problems in the current campaign. Daniele De Rossi's team collected only 14 points after 16 league matches and is only two points above the relegation zone. Genoa have struggled lately with three defeats in the last four matches in all competitions. In the previous game, De Rossi's team lost 1-0 at home against Atalanta. The hosts were in trouble from the start of the game as the goalkeeper Nicola Leali got a red card already in the third minute. Despite being reduced to ten men for almost the entire match, Genoa defended resolutely and looked on course to earn a valuable point, only for Atalanta to strike in stoppage time and snatch all three points.

Nicola Leali is suspended and will not travel to Rome on Monday. Also, Genoa will be without Jean Onana, Morten Thorsby, Benjamin Siegrist, Junior Messias, Albert Gronbek, and Maxwel Cornet, while Vitinha is questionable.
