Arsenal finished second in the previous two seasons, just behind Manchester City. For the third year in a row, it seems the Gunners will finish second, this time behind Liverpool. Right now, they are seven points away from dropping out of the top five (CL spots) with four rounds to go. However, their main focus right now is in the Champions League, where they just lost 1:0 to PSG in the first leg of the Semi-Finals in London. After the Bournemouth game, the Gunners will take a trip to Paris for the second leg, so there is a big question of whether they will play with their best squad in this match.

Bournemouth are constantly improving their results after the promotion in the 2021/22 season. The Cherries finished 15th and 12th in the previous two seasons, and they could have had an even better finish this year. Throughout the year, they floated around European spots, but after winning only once in the last nine league games, they dropped to 10th place. Right now, they have 50 points, just one point away from the next two teams on the league's table. Depending on the FA Cup Finals, the Cherries could secure Europe even from the ninth place! Unfortunately, they will have a really tough job as they will face Arsenal, Aston Villa, Manchester City, and Leicester in the last four rounds.

Arsenal vs Bournemouth pick: Bournemouth to win or draw

Arsenal are a better team, no doubt about that. However, we firmly believe they will heavily rotate the squad because they have an important game against PSG. Considering they also have a lot of injured players, we could see some players who played very few minutes this year. Also, the Gunners are on a bad mini-run at home as they failed to win in the last three games against PSG, Crystal Palace, and Brentford.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, are on a solid four-game unbeaten run. Strangely, the Cherries have been absolutely fantastic away from home, as they only lost once in the last 12 games in all competitions!

Considering all the above, we believe that the Cherries could secure at least one point against the Gunners in this Premier League tie.

Arsenal team news

After a 1:0 loss to PSG in the previous game, coach Mikel Arteta spoke to the media. He said this is only the first half of the duel and that they have the quality to win on the road. The coach said they were disappointed with the result because they deserved a lot more from the match. "If you want to win the Champions League or be in the final, you have to do something extraordinary during some stage of the competition. That's what we need," the coach added.

The team should have no new injuries, but the ones who missed the previous matches should remain sidelined - Gabriel Fernando de Jesus, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Gabriel dos Santos Magalhaes, Norberto Murara Neto, Riccardo Calafiori, Kai Havertz, and Jorge Luiz Frello Filho.

Bournemouth team news

Striker Evanilson received a straight red card in the previous game against Manchester United and will be unavailable. The 25-year-old scored nine goals in 27 Premier League appearances, and his absence will be a massive factor.

Enes Unal, Luis Fernando Sinisterra, and Ryan Christie, who missed the previous games with injuries, should remain sidelined.
