Almeria vs Cultural Leonesa prediction 09.03.2026 | La Liga 2

After two seasons in La Liga 2, Almeria could return to the Spanish top flight. They are in the promotion playoff zone and could even fight for a direct spot in La Liga in the following months. Almeria were excellent lately with four victories and one draw. In the previous game, they played 1-1 on the road against Albacete. The visitors were behind for most of the second half, but their numerous attacks finally paid off in the stoppage time, so Almeria deservedly picked up another point.

Almeria's head coach, Rubi, was satisfied after a draw in Albacete. He said, "It was very competitive. In the first half, we had more of the ball, and they sat back looking for transitions. We created clear chances but didn't take them. Then, in the second half, they started better. I'm frustrated that we conceded from a transition because we knew it was one of their main strengths. After that, we had to take risks to at least get the equaliser, which I reckon was the fairest result."

Andre Horta is injured and will not play on Monday night. Also, Stefan Dzodic is questionable, and his status will be clearer closer to the kickoff.

Cultural Leonesa, one of the teams with the smallest budget in La Liga 2, are in danger of relegation after only one season in the competition. They are in the drop zone with five points fewer than safety. Cultural Leonesa's form isn't particularly optimistic, as they haven't won any of their last 11 matches across all competitions. In the previous game, Cultural Leonesa lost 3-0 at home against Las Palmas. Although the teams had similar stats, Cultural Leonesa's poor defense and terrible offense once again cost them points. 

Cultural Leonesa's head coach, Ruben de la Barrera, was disappointed after a defeat in the previous league round. He said that the result is tremendously lopsided in relation to what was seen, especially in the first half. 

Lucas Ribeiro is suspended and will not play on Monday in Almeria.
