Al-Taawoun vs Al-Ettifaq prediction 18.09.2025 | Saudi Pro League

Al-Taawoun come into Thursday's Saudi Pro League after a thrilling 3:2 win at Al-Okhdood. Musa Barrow's brace secured a vital victory for Pericles Chamusca's side. 

The hosts had endured a miserable 5:0 home defeat against Al-Nassr in the first league fixture of the new season at the end of last month. 

Goals seem likely this weekend with the home side involved in several high-scoring outcomes this summer. Al-Taawoun have seen BTTS in five of their last seven games while a minimum of four goals were scored in four of their  last six fixtures.

Head coach Pericles Chamusca is likely to keep faith in the same side that claimed a first win of the season last weekend. The hosts have no reported injury issues.

Al-Ettifaq make the trip to King Abdullah Sport City Stadium looking to extend their unbeaten run following a hard-fought goalless draw against Al-Ahli last weekend. 

Saad Ali Al Shehri's side began the new Saudi Pro League season with a 2:1 win against Al-Kholood at the end of last month. Seven of the visitors' last nine games finished with both teams on the scoresheet. 

The Knights of Ad-Dahna have proven tough to beat, and they should be confident of emerging with a positive result on Thursday. Al-Ettifaq avoided defeat in nine of their last ten games while Al-Taawoun failed to win six of their last eight Saudi Pro League games since the end of last season. 

Head coach Al Shehri is unlikely to make changes from the side that picked up a decent point against Al Ahli. Moussa Dembélé, João Costa and Abdulbasit Hawsawi remain sidelined with long-term injury issues.
