Rayo Vallecano had an amazing last season, finishing 8th and securing the Conference League. That is only the second time they secured Europe. The popular Los Franjirrojos did well in the league phase, easily securing a spot in the 1/8 Finals. However, in La Liga, they have struggled massively and have won just 22 points in 20 rounds - only three points away from the danger zone. They have massive offensive problems and will have to fix them as soon as possible if they want to avoid a relegation battle. 

In the previous game against Celta Vigo, central defender Nobel Mendy received a straight red card and will be unavailable. That is a massive problem for coach Iñigo Pérez, who will have up to seven players out with injuries. They have mostly problems at the back, as four defenders are among the injured - Abdul Mumin, Luiz Felipe, Andrei Ratiu, and Ivan Balliu. On the positive side, the team's captain, Oscar Valentin, will be back after serving his one-game suspension.

Osasuna have been a mid-table La Liga team over the past six seasons, finishing between 7th and 11th. This season, despite being around their usual spot, the team from Pamplona doesn't look as good. Compared to the last year, they average around 0.27 points per game less. The main issue is their absolutely terrible road record - just points in ten rounds away from home. Right now, Osasuna are by far the worst road La Liga team.
