Reims will try to move further away from the bottom three with a win when they travel to Monaco this week.
Monaco lost 2-1 to Lille last weekend in yet another example of how inconsistent Adi Hütter's men have been this season. Having beaten Nantes 7-1, the Red and Whites were expected to brush aside Lille, but instead found themselves two goals down after 43 minutes. Takumi Minamino pulled one back on the stroke of half-time, but they couldn't find the net in the second half.
Reims were lauded after their draw at record champions PSG on 25 January, but Les Rouges et Blancs have since disappeared from view. Samba Diawara's men go into Friday's game on a run of four successive league defeats and also failed to find the back of the net in all but one of those encounters.
