KuPS team overview
KuPS have been among the top three teams in Veikkausliiga in the last eight years. Last year, they had an incredible season, winning both the league and cup titles. This year, they are again looking like a title contender as they are in second place after 27 rounds - three points away from the top spot.
In Europe, KuPS first eliminated Milsami in the Champions League qualifiers but were knocked out in the second round by Kairat Almaty. They then bounced back by defeating RFS, yet this clash with Midtjylland is without doubt their toughest challenge so far. Still, regardless of the result, KuPS are guaranteed a place in the group stage of a European competition (Conference League) for the first time in their 102-year history.

Midtjylland have been really good this season, as they are still undefeated in nine matches, while winning four of them in regular time. Three of those four wins were by two or more goals. When it comes to European home games in recent seasons, the Wolves have been great, winning six out of 13 (46%) matches while facing much better teams than KuPS. They did well even in the matches they lost to Real Sociedad and Eintracht Frankfurt.
KuPS have been excellent, result-wise, winning seven out of the last ten matches. However, we are not impressed with what we have seen from them away from home, especially in Europe. They won once (vs RFS), drew once (Milsami), and lost once (Kairat Almaty), but we firmly believed they were outplayed in all of those matches. So, expecting a good result vs Midtjylland seems unreal.
Simply, we believe the Danish team is better overall and should have no problems beating KuPS at their pitch at MCH Arena.
