After a difficult start to the campaign, Genoa have steadily turned things around in recent months. They have won five and lost just three of their last 13 Serie A matches, having failed to register a single victory in their opening nine league fixtures.

On their travels, De Rossi’s men played out a goalless draw at Parma in their most recent away outing, while they also picked up a credible 1:1 draw at AC Milan earlier this month.

Genoa boss De Rossi has three selection issues on Friday. Albert Gronbaek and Benjamin Siegrist are ruled out, while Tommaso Baldanzi is rated doubtful.
