Juventus had an interesting season thus far. After a great start when they won against Parma, Genoa, and Inter, most football pundits believed the Old Lady had the potential to battle for the title. However, after those three wins, they went on a terrible eight-game winless streak across the competitions. That terrible streak led to a coaching change as the club sacked Igor Tudor and appointed former Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti. Under Spalletti, the Old Lady started playing much better and eventually climbed to fifth place, only three points behind fourth and ten points away from the first-placed Inter.

After a 2:0 win over Benfica, coach Luciano Spalletti spoke to the media. He called it a balanced match but also a deserved victory. Despite being pretty satisfied with a win, the famous coach said there are still areas they have to work on - especially quickly reading the situation and keeping control of the ball. 

Last year Napoli managed to win their fourth Scudetto, their second in the past three years. This year, they had a good start, won the Super Cup, and when everything looked good, they only won one in the last four Serie A rounds. Because of that poor mini-run, Gli Azzurri dropped to third place - six points away from first-placed Inter. They dropped points against Verona and Parma, which is unacceptable for a team trying to win another title. However, constant injuries are a big part of their underwhelming form. 

In the Champions League, Gli Azzurri had a disappointing campaign and are on the brink of elimination, facing a must-win situation against Chelsea in the last round of the league phase. 

Recently, three new names were added to the injury list -Leonardo Spinazzola, Matteo Politano, and Amir Rrahmani. Those potential absences are a massive factor, especially considering they will already miss Frank Anguissa, David Neres, Kevin De Bruyne, and Billy Gilmour.
