The hosts are trying to return to winning ways after a draw against Bromley in the previous round, while Crewe aim to extend their (league) winning streak to four.

Last year, interestingly, both teams won their road games (Fleetwood 4:1 and Crewe 1:0). Looking further back, in the previous decade, these teams met ten times. Fleetwood won four times, Crewe three times, and there were three draws.
When it comes to goals, six of them went over 2.5 goals, while four finished with fewer than three goals, with an average of 2.7 goals per game.
Fleetwood team overview
Fleetwood suffered relegation from League One in the 2023/24 season, and despite having high hopes for the following season, they were absolutely terrible, finishing in 14th place, ten points away from the playoffs and 18 points away from direct promotion. But this year, the popular Fishermen opened the season well, as they won seven points in the first three rounds and are sitting in 5th place - two points away from the top spot.
After a 2:2 draw in the previous game vs Bromley, coach Pete Wild spoke to the media. He praised the team for keeping the unbeaten run alive despite playing three road games already. The coach said they are moving in the right direction, but that they have to build on it with two big home games.

Crewe team overview
Last year, Crewe started the season well, and it looked like they would succeed in securing Playoffs in back-to-back years. Unfortunately, they crumbled in the final part of the season, winning just once in the last 12 matches, and eventually finished 13th with eight points away from the Playoffs. This season, the popular Railwaymen have had an awesome start, winning all three league games thus far.
After the latest 1:0 win over Crawley, coach Lee Bell spoke to the media. The coach was thrilled with their third win in a row and singled out loanee Tommi O'Reilly, saying the boy has some talent. However, despite winning all three games so far, the coach said they need a couple more players.

Prediction
Fleetwood did very well offensively this season, scoring two goals per game on all four occasions. Still, they only had one clean sheet - at the start of the season vs Banet when they won 2:0. However, they weren't great defensively even in that match and were lucky not to concede as Barney had 1.13 xG and 67% ball possession.
Like Fleetwood, Crewe also scored in all four games thus far while scoring a total of seven goals - 1.75 per game. Another good thing about this bet is the fact that Crewe haven't had a clean sheet in either of the road games this season.
Considering great offensive displays of both teams and all the above, we believe that a BTTS - YES bet is the safest option for this League Two tie.
3 Reasons why we should see both teams scoring
- Fleetwood scored two goals per game in all four games this season
- Crewe scored a goal in all four games this season
- Both teams scored in the previous h2h game (4:1 for Fleetwood)
