After both teams won their Super Cup titles, Romanian and Andorran champs FCSB and Inter Escaldes will face off against each other in the first round of the Champions League Qualifiers at Stadionul Steaua in Bucharest.
FCSB won the previous league title, their 28th ever. They had ups and downs throughout the season, but when they suffered elimination by Lyon in the Europa League 1/8 Finals, they started playing really well. They went on a ten-game unbeaten run, securing the title dominantly. As we mentioned, the Romanians had an excellent run in the Europa League after a really long time and will definitely want to repeat that.
Inter Escaldes have been mostly the best or the second-best team in the league for the past several seasons. However, in Europe, they expectedly haven't had much success. In most cases, they haven't passed the first round and have never reached the third qualifying round of any European competition. In this duel against FCSB, they are a big underdog, with the bookies offering around 23 for them to reach the next stage of the competition.
FCSB vs Inter Escaldes pick: Over 3.5 goals
FCSB are a massive favorite to win the match. If we combine the last season, friendlies and the Super Cup, FCSB are undefeated in the last 13 games and have been fantastic offensively. They scored 26 goals during that 13 matches - two per game. They faced much better teams, and we expect an even better offensive display against the Andorran champs. Also, a good thing for this bet is the fact that FCSB rarely keeps their net intact and have done so only once in the last nine games. So, we wouldn't be too surprised if Inter would score.
Inter Escaldes have been excellent for this type of bet in Europe. Last year, in four matches, they went over 3.5 goals on three occasions - 75%.
Considering all the above, we believe that an over 3.5 goals is the best option for this Champions League Qualifiers match.

In the first game of the season vs Cluj, striker Denis Alibec suffered an injury after only ten minutes and had to leave the field. The 34-year-old joined during the pre-season on a free transfer from FCV Farul. This is his second stint with the team, as he spent the 2017/18 season with FCSB. With Alibec out, Marius Ștefănescu could get the opportunity to start.

Interestingly, Inter Escaldes did a terrible job in the offseason. Four players left the team, and the club has not signed any new players thus far! One of the players who left is Raul Feher, who was probably the best central defender on the team last year!
