After back-to-back defeats against Juventus and Manchester City, Wydad Casablanca and Al-Ain battles it out to avoid finishing bottom of Group G. 

Wydad Casablanca gave a good account of themselves in their Group G opener against Manchester City, eventually falling to a 2:0 reversal but their subsequent 4:1 defeat to Juventus ended their Club World Cup qualification hopes. Al-Ain have also crashed out after losing both of their matches, conceding 11 goals while scoring none, leaving both teams with only pride to play for this week.

Neither side have impressed against European opposition, but Wydad looks the much stronger of the two and can finish on a high with a low-scoring win on Thursday. 

Both teams have seen plenty of low-scoring outcomes in recent weeks. Six of Wydad's last eight games finished with fewer than three goals scored. Al-Ain saw the same outcome in three of their four previous matches.

With both teams short in fire-power, it would be a surprise to see a high-scoring contest, and with Wydad showing more savvy in their performances against Man City and Juventus, I expect the Moroccans to claim the points at Audi Field, Washington.

I'm backing Wydad to win at a tempting price, with a second stake on this game seeing fewer than three goals scored.
