An entertaining FIFA Club World Cup clash should be on the cards at Bank of America Stadium on Tuesday evening as Benfica takes on Bayern Munich.

The battle for top spot in Group C of the FIFA Club World Cup sees Bayern Munich and Benfica go head-to-head in Charlotte after both sides claimed improtant victories over weekend.

Bayern showed plenty of heart as they fought back from a goal down to claim a hard-fought 2:1 win against Boca Juniors with top scorer Harry Kane back among the goals. 

Benfica enjoyed an easier day at the office on Saturday. Having been held to a goalless draw on matchday one against Boca, the Portuguese side bounced back with a convincing 6:0 win against Auckland City. 

While a draw will be enough to guarantee safe passage to the next phase for both sides, Bruno Lage's men are unlikely to adopt a defensive approach against a Bayern side that remains fallible defensively.

Both teams are usually involved in high-scoring encounters, and I expect more of the same on Tuesday.  Benfica have seen over 2.5 goals in eight of their last 10 matches while Bayern have seen the same outcome in 11 of their last 12 matches. In addition, three of the last four encounters between these sides produced a minimum of three goals scored.

BTTS looks like a lock selection this week, in a game more than likely to see a minimum of three goals. I'm putting my money on both selections in Charlotte.
