- Competition: World Cup Qualifiers
- Date: 10th June 2025
- Kick-off: 19:45 UK / 20:45 CEST
- Venue: San Marino Stadium
San Marino will continue their search for their first point in the European qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup on Tuesday night when they host Austria.
The hosts have never qualified for the finals of a major tournament and this record is set to continue. Roberto Cevoli’s men started their qualifying campaign with a 2:0 loss to Cyprus, followed by a 5:1 defeat to Romania on Matchday 2. They showed some improvement on Saturday night in their clash with Bosnia and Herzegovina, losing only 1:0, and will surely be looking to build on that against Austria.
Meanwhile, the Austrians needed a flying start to their campaign after watching most of the other teams in the group play two or three games. Ralf Rangnick’s team got their wish, dominating proceedings and beating Romania 2-1 in their opener on Saturday.
San Marino vs Austria Betting Tips: Both teams to score
The Austrians are strong favourites to win this game, and we expect them to take all three points. However, they are unlikely to keep a clean sheet. Das Team have not kept a clean sheet in their last four games, and have only finished two of the last 16 without conceding.
San Marino found the net in three of their last five matches and have also been effective at scoring goals at home. La Serenissima have scored in each of their last five competitive home games, and I think they will continue this run on Tuesday.

San Marino team news
Lorenzo Capicchioni is doubtful for San Marino on Tuesday due to injury. The midfielder only lasted the first half of the match against Bosnia & Herzegovina before being replaced by Matteo Valli Casadei.
Meanwhile, the hosts will continue to rely on Nicola Nanni, who netted four times for Italian Serie C Group B club Torres during the 2024–25 campaign.

Austria team news
Austria will again be without captain David Alaba, who is still recovering from a meniscus tear, as well as goalkeeper Alexander Schlager and defender Gernot Trauner.
New squad members Tobias Lawal and Nicolas Schmid will be hoping to make their debuts on Tuesday after not featuring against Romania last time out.
