Tenerife returns to action this weekend still searching for their first victory of the Segunda Division campaign. Having slipped to back-to-back defeats against Eldense, and Almeria, the Tete Chicharreros did at least manage to pick up their first point of the campaign with a 2:2 draw at Cadiz last time out. 

An inconsistent side last season, particularly in home fixtures, Tenerife won 11 but lost six of 21 Segunda Division games played in Santa Cruz over the past year.

The Islanders do boast a strong record in this fixture though, having picked up a draw or more in all 11 previous home matches against Racing. Tenerife claimed wins in four of their last meetings at this venue. 

Racing come into this fixture having enjoyed a better start to their season, picking up five points from their first three fixtures. The Racinguistas have been in entertaining form, scoring successive 2:2 draws against Almeria and Eibar before an impressive 3:1 road win at Oviedo last weekend.

Since the turn of the year, Racing have proven a good choice for goal chasers, particularly in away matches. José Alberto López´s side have seen BTTS in six of their last eight away games in this division since March. Five of those six games also saw at least three goals scored.

More recently, Santander have seen BTTS in each of their last five matches, including a pair of pre-season contests.

While in better form, Racing have never won in Tenerife, and given their recent goalscoring form, a punt on BTTS could prove the best betting angle on Friday.
