Champions League qualification hopefuls Nottingham Forest return to the City Ground after a disappointing 2:0 defeat in their FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City on Sunday. 

While still very much in contention for a remarkable top five finish, the Garibaldi's UCL qualification hopes have taken a hit in recent weeks. The hosts slipped to back-to-back PL defeats against Aston Villa (2:1) and Everton (1:0) before a much-needed 2:1 win at struggling Tottenham last week. 

Still, an ineffective display against Man City at Wembley on Sunday will have raised further concerns that Forest could be running out of steam as the season reaches its climax. 

While recent matches at this venue have been low-scoring, with just four goals scored in Forest's last four games at the City Ground, a more entertaining contest could be on the cards this weekend. Brentford make the trip north having failed to net in just two of 15 previous away EPL games.

Thomas Frank's side have enjoyed a strong run of form on the road, picking up five wins and just one defeat from seven previous away EPL games. The Bees claimed a well-deserved 1:1 draw against Arsenal in their more recent away fixtures, and I expect another solid display from the visitors.

Recent meetings between these sides have been both competitive and entertaining. Only one of their last seven encounters did not see both teams scoring. Brentford enjoyed a six-game unbeaten run before succumbing to a 2:0 home reversal in their most recent meeting earlier this season.

With Brentford in strong away form, and Forest desperate for the points, I expect both teams to push forward in search of a vital victory. As a consequence, chances at both ends should see BTTS land at a decent price. 

Both teams to score is my top tip, and I also like Brentford's chances of emerging with at least a draw on Thursday.
