In the previous decade, Lyngby was mostly a team that traveled between the Danish Superliga and the 1st Division. Last year, they managed to avoid that trip but finished 10th (from 12 teams) - just four points away from relegation. Over the Summer, the club made almost no effort to add new players, and it is hard to expect a different outcome than last season. Judging from the preseason and the official season as well, this could be the year when Lyngby will not be as lucky to secure survival. In the Superliga, they won just one point and are in 11th place after two rounds.
Brondby, the eleven-time Danish champion, came super close to winning the 12th trophy. However, after losing the last game of the season at home against Aarhus, they eventually finished 2nd - one point away from the 1st-placed Midtjylland. This year, Brondby started well both in the domestic league, where they won four points in two rounds and in the Champions League Qualifiers, where they easily beat FK Llapi in the second round on an 8:2 aggregate. Now, their next opponent in the Qualifiers will be Legia, which will be four days after the Lyngby game.

In the preseason, Lyngby lost three of four games, even failing to score in all of those three losses. They continued with poor results in the official season, as they won one point in the first two games. They lost the first match 2:0 against FC Copenhagen and then drew with Sonderjyske 1:1 but could have easily lost both games. It is evident that Lyngby have problems offensively. That shouldn't be a surprise since their best striker left, and the club did not find a replacement.
On the other hand, Brondby played four games - two in the Champions League Qualifiers and two in the domestic league. They managed to win four points in both competitions, which is fine, but we believe they deserved more. We could easily speak about the four-game winning streak.
In the previous season, we saw a 3:3 draw and a 3:0 win for Brondby. However, that draw was only because Brondby received a red card after 31 minutes.
Considering all the above, we believe that Brondby to win is the best bet for this Danish Superliga tie.
