Portman Road is the host for a Premier League contest on Sunday afternoon as recently-promoted Ipswich hosts Aston Villa.

Ipswich vs Aston Villa Betting Tips: Aston Villa to Win / Over 1.5 Team Goals 

Aston Villa make the trip to Portman Road in excellent form after a 2:1 win at Wycombe Wanderers in the League Cup extended their winning run to five matches.

After surprising many by qualifying for the Champions League last season, Villa have begun the new campaign in similarly impressive form. The Villains have won four of five games played, and find themselves third in the division, just one point behind champions Manchester City.

On the road, Unai Emery´s side have been fairly solid, recording six wins and just three defeats from their last 11 EPL away fixtures. Villa also scored an impressive 3:0 win at Young Boys in their Champions League debut ten day ago.

Contrastingly, Ipswich have made a slow start to their first EPL campaign since 2002. A tough fixture list saw them lose their first two matches of the season against Liverpool (2:0) and Man City (4:1). 

Now five games into the campaign, the Tractor Boys remain winless although they have collected draws in each of their last three games against Fulham, Brighton and Southampton.

Recent meetings between these sides have been infrequent although Villa did win three of four previous encounters and a similar outcome seems likely this weekend. 

While Ipswich are likely to provide stiff resistance, I expect Villa´s greater quality to prove decisive on Sunday. An away win is my top tip, while I also fancy the Villains to score at least two goals.
