Hacken vs Brann prediction 07.08.2025 | Europa League qualification

Hacken are terrible in Allsvenskan this season. They are in the lower half of the table and have no real chance to secure playing in Europe next year, too. Hacken have been struggling lately as they have won only one of their last six matches in all competitions. In the previous game, Hacken lost 2-1 at home against Elfsborg. The home side was probably the slightly better side, but their inefficiency and bad defense cost them that time. 

Hacken have big problems with missing players. They will be without Peter Abrahamsson, Johan Hammar, Jacob Laursen, Leo Vaisanen, and Brice Wembangomo. The good news for Hacken is that Pontus Dahbo, Simon Gustafson, Samuel Leach, and Marius Lode, who didn't play for the weekend due to suspension, will return to the squad on Thursday. 

After winning the championship title last season, Brann have another good year. In the Norwegian Eliteserien, they are third on the table with six points fewer than the league leader, Viking, but with one game fewer played. Brann haven't impressed lately, including a loss against Salzburg in the Champions League qualifications. Last weekend, Brann won 4-1 on the road against Sarpsborg 08. The guests outplayed them as they ended the match with xG of 2.36, while the home side had 0.85. 

Brann have almost a full squad for the upcoming Europa League qualification tie. They will be without Jonas Tviberg Torsvik and Sakarias Opsahl on Thursday in Goteborg. Emil Kornvig and Eivind Fauske Helland, who skipped the game for the weekend, will return on Thursday.
