Botoșani and FCV Farul Constanța face off in Botoșani on Monday afternoon in what will be their first match of the 2025–26 Romanian top-flight season.

Both sides narrowly avoided relegation last season, with the hosts finishing just a point above the relegation zone and Farul finishing three points above the bottom four.
