AS Roma vs Monza Betting Tips - Roma to Win/Over 2.5 Goals
Roma return to Serie A duty after a tense but ultimately successful 3:2 win against Porto in the Europa League last Thursday. Following a 1:1 draw in Portugal, Claudio Ranieri´s side secured progression to the round of sixteen with Paulo Dybala scoring twice in an entertaining victory in Rome.
Unbeaten in four matches, I Giallorossi have displayed an improved level of performance under returning boss Claudio Ranieri. Roma won nine while losing only two of their last 15 fixtures.
At the Olimpico, Ranieri´s side have been particularly impressive, claiming eight wins from nine games played since a 2:0 reversal against Atalanta at the start of the month. Roma scored 27 goals in those victories with six of the eight wins seeing a minimum of three match goals.
Monza make the trip to Italy´s capital in miserable form with only four pòints picked up from their 11 previous Serie A fixtures (W1, D1, L9). Alessandro Nesta´s side lost ten of their last 12 games, although they did break a four-game losing run with a goalless draw against Lecce last week.
With only 13 games to play in the Serie A season, Monza sit bottom of the division, seven points short of safety. I Biancorossi have been particularly poor on the road, suffering defeat in each of their last five away fixtures, including a 5:1 defeat against Lazio at this venue two weeks ago.
Considering Roma´s excellent form at the Olimpico, another tough day at the office seems likely for the visitors, and I´m confidently backing Ranieri´s men to claim a high-scoring win.
Roma to win with a minimum of three match goals should prove a top value bet on Monday.
