Zamalek ended 3rd in the Egyptian Premier League. Despite flashes of quality during the season, Ayman El Ramadi's side struggled for consistency and never truly threatened the top two. Still, recent form offers some encouragement: Zamalek comes into the final on the back of two consecutive wins, including a solid 2–0 home victory against Pharco in their most recent outing. Zamalek have gone trophyless since 2022 — an unusually long drought for one of Egypt's most successful and storied clubs. Although Pyramids stayed behind Al Ahly in the Egyptian Premier League title race, some of the bitter taste will be washed away after winning the CAF Champions League trophy last weekend against Mamelodi Sundowns. That is the Pyramids' second title in history after winning the Egyptian Cup in 2024. Krunoslav Jurcic's team is in brilliant form as they won four of the last five matches and will welcome the cup final against Zamalek with a lot of confidence.
