A bottom-of-the-table clash sees two sides struggling for form square-off this weekend as St. Louis City and LA Galaxy look for a vital MLS victory.

Placed 14th and 15th respectively in the Western Conference, both sides have endured slow starts to their campaigns, and will see Saturday's fixture as a good opportunity to get back to winning form. 

St. Louis return to Energizer Park after a 2:1 defeat at Portland earlier this week. David Ayala's stoppage time goal condemned David Critchley's side to a fourth defeat in five matches.

While wins have been hard to come by, the home side have proven a fairly reliable choice for goal chasers this season. All but two of their last ten fixtures saw a minimum of three goals scored, with an average of 3.3 goals per game scored across those encounters.

LA Galaxy come into this weekend's MLS clash having finally ended their long wait for a domestic victory. Like the hosts, Vanney's men are usually a reliable choice in the goal markets. Four of LÁ's last six games finished with over 2.5 goals scored, including of their last three on the road.

Previous encounters between these sides also strengthens our conviction in the likelihood of a high-scoring outcome on Saturday. All but one of the last six meetings between these sides saw BTTS and over 2.5 goals scored.
