Skeid vs Hødd prediction 30.05.2025 | Obos-Ligaen

On Friday evening, two newly promoted teams, Skeid and Hodd, will face off in the ninth round of the OBOS-Ligaen at Nordre Åsen kunstgress in Oslo.

Skeid constantly traveled between the second and third tiers of Norwegian football. This year, their goal is to somehow avoid relegation, but the first impressions aren't giving positive signs about that. Right now, after eight rounds, they are one of the only two winless teams and are currently occupying 15th place with just two points. The safe zone is already seven points away, and in order to move closer to the safe zone, they have to start winning points, at least at home.

Hodd had a fantastic last year, easily securing promotion, leaving the second-placed Jerv ten points away. This year, they had an excellent start, already winning 13 points thus far. At this point, they look more like a promotion candidate than a relegation one. Right now, they are on a level with points with 4th-placed Kongsvinger! While we doubt they can maintain this level of result, they have every reason to be optimistic, considering how well they have played thus far.

Skeid vs Hodd pick: Both teams to score

Skeid have been far from impressive this season and are yet to win a game. However, they are regularly scoring goals at home and have done so in all three home (league) games thus far. On the other hand, defensively, we definitely do not trust them, as they still haven't had a clean sheet in eight rounds!

Hodd are in excellent form, winning three of the last four games and scoring six goals - 1.5 per game. Also, away from home, they have scored at least a goal in three of four matches - 75%. So, we definitely believe they can score against struggling Skeid.

Considering all the above, we firmly believe both teams will score at least once in the ninth round of the Obos-Ligaen.
