A competitive and likely entertaining Eliteserien encounter takes place on Friday as Sarpsborg 08 look to extend their unbeaten run to eight matches against visiting Rosenborg.

The hosts return to home comforts after a goalless draw at Kristiansund last weekend, a result that leaves them sixth in the division, five points behind Rosenborg, but with two games in hand on the away side. 

While Christian Michelsen's side have kept clean sheets in their last two fixtures, goals can usually be relied upon when the hosts are in action. Eight of their last 11 games finished with both teams getting on the scoresheet.

Rosenborg return to Eliteserien action after breaking a five-game winless run with a much-needed 2:0 victory against HamKam last week. Alfred Johansson's side had won just one of seven previous games. 

Despite their poor form, Rosenborg remain fourth in the division, but now ten points behind leaders Viking. A lack of clean sheets in recent weeks has seen the visitors concede at least one goal in seven of their last nine fixtures. BTTS also occurred in four of their last six games, and I fancy a similar outcome this week. 

All but one of the last seven meetings between these sides finished with both sides scoring, and that's my preferred pick on Friday.
