Qarabag FK return to Baku on Wednesday evening with a commanding advantage in their UEFA Champions League qualifying tie against Shelbourne. After a convincing first-leg win in Dublin, the Azerbaijani champions are strong favourites to complete the job at the Tofiq Bəhramov Stadium.

Gurban Gurbanov’s side have been ruthless in recent outings, particularly in home fixtures. Qarabag have covered a -1.5 handicap in eight of their last nine victories, a trend that reflects their ability to finish off weaker opponents with minimal fuss.

Goals have come regularly for the hosts too. Seven of their last eight matches have finished with over 2.5 goals scored.

Shelbourne, by contrast, are facing an uphill task. Their defensive vulnerabilities were exposed last week, and without defender, Tyreke Wilson, they’ll need to reshuffle at the back.
