- Competition: UEFA Nations League - Final
- Date: Sunday, 8th, June 2025
- Kickoff: 20:00 UK / 21.00 CEST
- Venue: Allianz Arena (Munchen)
Portugal and Spain will face off at Allianz Arena this Sunday with the opportunity to make history as the first team to claim the UEFA Nations League trophy twice.
Despite being behind, Portugal quickly staged a comeback within five minutes on the back of the unstoppable 40-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo, who netted his 137th goal for the national team and propelled his country into the final for the second time in this competition.
In a frenetic semifinal at the MHPArena, the Spaniards nearly threw away an incredible 5-1 lead as the French orchestrated the drama with three "not enough" late goals, leaving Luis de la Fuente's side just one step away from becoming the first nation to successfully defend the UNL trophy.
Portugal vs Spain Betting Tips : SPAIN TO WIN
All credit to Portugal for their comeback and knockout of Germany in the semis, but right now it looks like no one can halt the Yamal-inspired Spain, so we’re leaning towards them to succeed in their quest to defend the UEFA Nations League trophy. This year’s finalists were in the same group during the 2022 edition of the tournament where La Rioja proved better by claiming a hard-fought 1-1 draw on their own turf in Seville before edging past Portugal in a thrilling top-of-the-table clash thanks to Morata’s late winner. Under the leadership of Luis de la Fuente since January 2023, Spain have remained untouchable in the 24 competitive fixtures, achieving success in nearly every outing with an impressive 23 wins, and the experienced coach looks to add a third trophy from three final appearances to his record. Fluid movement in the final third and ruthless finishing have become the trademarks of La Rioja’s offensive arsenal, with they putting three past Switzerland, four against the Dutch, and an emphatic five into France’s net, so we fully expect CR7 and his teammates to feel the full force of this Spanish firepower in a marquee clash that should be wrapped up within the regular ninety minutes in favor of Fuente's team. Perhaps the Portuguese deserve some respect following their upser over the Germans, but realistically, we don't think they are as well-rounded collectively as this Spanish outfit who are bursting with attacking flair and looks primed to make a statement in the Munich showpiece.

Portugal team news
It looks like coach Roberto Martinez will shuffle his lineup from the semi-final, and top of the list for a start is PSG’s Vitinha, who’s set to come in for Ruben Neves.
Francisco Conceicao made an instant impact off the bench, scoring the equaliser just five minutes after coming on, and he's now pushing for a starting role.

Spain team news
Unlike the Portuguese coach, who’s likely to rotate, Spanish manager Luis de la Fuente may name an identical starting eleven to the one that edged France in a nine-goal thriller.
After scoring an own goal, Athletic Bilbao centre-back Daniel Vivian may struggle to displace Real Madrid’s new signing Huijsen or Real Sociedad’s defensive anchor Le Normand.
