Pafos FC vs Dynamo Kyiv prediction 12.08.2025 | UEFA Champions League Qualifying

Pafos come into Tuesday's contest in high spirits after last week's impressive 1:0 win in Poland. Anderson Silva'late goal secured a vital victory for Juan Carlos Carcedo's side. 

The Cypriot champions showed they are not to under-estimated, having advanced to round three with a 2:1 aggregate victory against Maccabi Tel-Aviv. Competing for the first time in the UCL, the Cypriots now stand just three games away from reaching the lucrative group phase. 

Low-scoring outcomes have been frequent for the home side. All but one of their last ten matches finished with under 2.5 goals scored. Considering what's at stake on Tuesday, another tight matchup seems likely. 

Pafos have a strong squad available for Tuesday's second-leg.  Manager Juan Carlos Carcedo is expected to stick with the same side that claimed victory in Poland.

Dynamo makes the trip to Cyprus looking to bounce back from a surprise 1:0 home defeat against Pafos in last week’s first leg.The result was an unexpected setback for the Ukrainians, who had been in strong form leading up to that result. 

Kyiv cruised to a 6:0 aggregate victory over Hamrun Spartans in the previous round while they showed plenty of quality in last weekend's 5:1 win against Rukh Lviv.

Last season, the reigning Ukrainian champions were dominant domestically, going unbeaten in 30 Premier League matches to secure their first league title since 2021. However, they will need to find something special if they are to turn the tie around. 

Five of seven previous games finished with under 2.5 goals scored, and another tense, nervy occasion seems likely to deliver a similar outcome this week. 

Head coach Oleksandr Shovkovskyi is expected to stick with the same starting XI that began last week’s tie, with no injury or suspension concerns reported.
