Norway U19 managed to qualify for the previous two EURO's but had two very different outcomes in those campaigns. In 2023, they managed to reach the semi-finals, while in the previous year, they finished the competition in the group phase. This generation looked fantastic in the Qualifiers, as they won all six matches, and it is not a surprise they drew (2:2) with England in the opening game in EURO U19. While they are definitely not favorites to win the title, we firmly believe they are capable of surprising many people and potentially making a deep run.

Surprisingly, Netherlands U19 haven't appeared in the last two EUROs in Malta and Slovakia. Including two canceled tournaments (due to COVID), Netherlands U19 squad missed the previous six tournaments! However, it became apparent in the Qualifiers that this generation is outstanding. Nevertheless, their best game came at the right time - in the opening match of EURO, where they dismantled Germany 3:0 and are now at the top of the group.

Norway U19 vs Netherlands U19 pick: Over 2.5 goals

Norway opened the tournament with a 2:2 draw against England U19 and were easily over the 2.5-goal line. Despite having only 30% ball possession, they were really dangerous and even had more xG (1.98 to England's 1.46). They will most likely be in a similar situation against the Netherlands as well, as they are expected to play on counterattacks. However, it seems that actually works best for them. If we look further back in the Qualifiers, we can see they had less ball possession than Serbia U19, Israel U19, and Belgium U19 but still managed to score two goals in each of those games.

Netherlands U19 opened the tournament with a big 3:0 win over Germany. They are a team that easily scores goals and proved that in the Qualifiers as well. If we combine the Qualifiers and EURO, they scored 14 goals in seven matches - two per game. So, we firmly believe they can score a couple of goals in this match, too.

Considering both team's good performances and offensive efficiency, we expect a high-scoring game, most likely with both teams scoring.
