Nacional will be looking for a win that could see them book a place in the CONMEBOL Sudamericana group stage on Wednesday night when they play host to Atletico Nacional.

The hosts sit at the bottom of the standings with just one win from five group stage games so far. Pablo Peirano’s men lost 2-0 to Internacional in their last game in the competition, but have since won two successive games. La Academia Tricolor beat Defensor Sporting and Progreso 3-1 on aggregate in the Uruguayan Primera División, and will be looking to extend that run this week.

The visitors are top of the standings with nine points from five games and they have scored the second-highest number of goals (seven).  However, with just two points separating them from third-place Bahia, they could still miss out on the knockout stages if they lose to Nacional.
