Gibraltar are one of the worst national teams in the world, currently ranked #196 on the FIFA World Ranking List. In Europe, San Marino and Liechtenstein are the only teams worse placed than them. So, it is not a surprise they haven't appeared in any major tournament, and that will hardly change. At this point, even scoring a goal against anyone is a success.
