The Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena is the venue for an international friendly this weekend as Georgia takes on African opponents Cape Verde.

Georgia vs Cape Verde Betting Tips - Under 2.5 Goals

A likely tight but competitive friendly fixture should be expected at the Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena on Sunday in a matchup between two evently matched nations.

An in-form Georgia return to action in search of a fourth successive victory after securing a narrow 1:0 friendly win against the Faroe Islands on Thursday. Luka Lochoshvili's early goal proved the difference in a low-key encounter in Tbilisi.

Willy Sagnol's side have shown plenty of quality over the past year, with a destructive 9:1 aggregate win against Armenia in their nations league playoff in March demonstrating the improvements made by the Crusaders under the Frenchman´s leadership.

However, with star forwards Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Georges Mikautadze not available for selection this weekend, the Georgians could struggle to see-off a Cabo Verde side that has also made significant strides in the past 12 months.

Bubista's men make the trip to Kutaisi unbeaten in four matches after a comfortable 3:0 win in a closed-door friendly against Malaysia in March. The Blue Sharks lost just one of their last six matches, including a 1:1 draw against Egypt in a World Cup qualifier last November.

Low-scoring outcomes have been a common theme in recent Cape Verde matches. Seven of their last nine games finished with under 2.5 goals scored, and I expect more of the same this weekend.

With Georgia seeing under 2.5 goals scored in four of their last six home games, another low-scoring contest seems likely, particularly in the absence of the hosts key forwards.

Under 2.5 goals is my best bet for Sunday's international friendly fixture.

Georgia team news

Willy Sagnol is likely to freshen up his selection after a hard-fought 1:0 win against the Faroe Islands on Thursday.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Georges Mikautadze are notable absentees for the home side.
