FCSB vs Shkendija prediction 30.07.2025 | Champions League qualification

One of the most intriguing games in the current Champions League qualification round will be played on Wednesday in Bucharest between FCSB and Shkendija. In the first match, the North Macedonian team surprisingly won 1-0. The guests had more than 12 shots on goal than the hosts, but the home side found a way to pick up a victory that opened the door to the next phase. 

FCSB had a terrible last few weeks. They had problems beating Inter Escaldes in the previous round of the Champions League qualifications, while in the Romanian national league, FCSB collected only four points in the first three rounds. In the previous game, they lost 2-1 at home against Farul Constanta. The home side ended the match with an xG of 0.58, while the guests had 2.96, so it is no wonder that FCSB left empty-handed. 

The North Macedonian teams didn't have too many opportunities to play in the main phases of the European cups, but Shkendija will play some competition even if they lose on Wednesday against FCSB. Shkendija started the 2025/26 season with a tough 2-1 victory after extra time against Welsh TNS. The North Macedonian champions will likely try to sit deep and attack FCSB from the counterattacks, as they have the advantage from the first leg.

FCSB scored only four goals in the last five matches, while Shkendija conceded only one goal in three games this summer. We shouldn't expect more than three goals in the second leg between these two teams.
